Founded in 1974 by a far-sighted idea of grandfather Guido, Generelli SA continued its growth through the entrepreneurial skills of father Moreno, until the arrival of Matteo, who since 2020 with his ambitious, modern and dynamic management aims to create an entirely new relationship with natural stone by combining tradition and innovation, exploring new technologies and pushing the company into a stone engineering brand new era.

Talking about history, it’s important to remember that Generelli is the owner of the patented process called Stone Skin: a continuous research project developed with the New Fundamentals Research Group (Politecnico di Bari) which aims to investigate the architectural uses of free-form panels made of natural stone, reinforced on the back through the use of carbon fibre (or glass fibre) sheets, in order to build lightweight granite or marble shells. The combination of these two materials allows, reducing the thickness of the stone components to just a few millimetres, the achievement of outstanding structural performance, for example: Möbius Sofa designed by Giuseppe Fallacara -NFRG and Lapella Chair in collaboration with Zaha Hadid Architects, AKT II and again NFRG.

During 2022/2023, Generelli SA, confirming its continued desire to expand, has decided to further expand its horizons through the annexation of Rilpo Sagl firm that for over 25 years has specialized in the supply and installation of all kinds of natural stone and ceramic work in the Locarno area. To further enhance its services in the Outdoor field, Generelli has also integrated into its staff the specialized workers and technical skills of Cave Bonomi Sagl firm that in more than 10 years of activity has established itself in the field of construction of walls, pavements and outdoor floors. We are very pleased to welcome into Generelli's world these two well-established firms, whose high standard of quality that has distinguished their professionalism over the years we will gladly stand behind.

Combining invaluable hand-crafted qualities with the use of next-generation numerically controlled machinery, the company turns its look straight to the future: unique and unrepeatable realizations, accompanied by visionary and futuristic ideas come to life thanks to a constantly evolving technology. Indeed, stone is an ever-evolving material with several ecological properties, including a long life cycle, durability, ease of maintenance, recyclability as well as possessing low gray energy. 

Every day the company works to evolve stone from a rough block to the highest aesthetic and qualitative standards: from the selection of materials from all over the world -we handle marble and granite from the most common to the most refined and rare- to the installation of the worked every step is followed and monitored by experts in our technical and design department in order to create the perfect product for every occasion.

Surely you have already had the opportunity to appreciate some of Generelli SA's works; to stay nearby, we have been involved in the renovation of the Lugano Station, the Spash&Spa Tamaro, the Tenero Sports Center and the Totem for the Via Del Ceneri.
